Sacramento Dance Instructor

Caitlyn Johnston has been dancing since the age of 3. In her hometown of Los Angeles, CA she trained in ballet, tap, lyrical, contemporary, modern, jazz, hip-hop and musical theatre. She danced competitively in all styles from the age of nine to eighteen years old. She became a teacher's assistant at nine years old and began instructing her own classes at the age of sixteen. 

Along with her teaching experience, Caitlyn choreographed several pieces in various styles for her high school’s dance team throughout all four years of high school. In 2020, she choreographed and directed a concept video titled “Hope” in hopes to virtually reach those who were struggling with mental health during the height of quarantine. She also taught multiple master classes to college students in low-income communities. 

Caitlyn began her college education at Moorpark College where she received her Associate’s degrees in both Psychology and Dance. She is now furthering her education at University of California Davis, where she is working to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Theatre and Dance. 

Caitlyn emphasizes on the impact of participating in a safe community, involving mutual integrity. Therefore, she has recently joined the MKModern competitive dance team at UC Davis.
