B.A in Communication from San Jose State
Trained in advanced tap, jazz, musical theater and acting, from Schumacher’s School of Dance, Notre Dame De Namur University’s School of Theater, and San Jose State University’s School of Music & Dance, Jenny believes you never stop learning! She furthered her tap improvisation studies under the direction of tap master, Sam Weber, and completed her certification in babywearing dance fitness with Joimove International. Jenny has also taken workshops with world renowned tap dancers: Jason Samuels Smith, Andrew Prashad (Monsoon Wedding), Victoria Jones (Las Vegas Tap Festival), Anthony LoCascio (Tap Dogs).
Passionate about showmanship, Jenny has performed in theatrical works such as A Christmas Carol, Grease, Gypsy, Wild Honey, and The Skin of Our Teeth. She performed with Shrungaar of Northern California, an award-winning traditional Indian dance team under the direction of Madhavi Desai. As a flyer/dancer for CHEER San Francisco, Jenny performed at America’s Best Cheerleading Competition, California’s Great America, San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade and various parades throughout the country. Her teaching philosophy of infusing dance technique with hilarious stage presence led Jenny to winning the “Air Guitar Challenge” on KOFYTV20’s Dance Party.
A firm believer in education, Jenny holds a master’s degree in Pastoral Ministries (Holy Names University), bachelor’s degree in Public Relations (San Jose State University) and recently published a children’s book, Francisco the bunny. She has helped hundreds of families navigate complex school systems, through her past case management work with Placer County Office of Education - Early Childhood Education, San Jose State University Enrollment Services, and other educational institutions in Northern California.
